A four-year-old sales and lettings agency in Lancashire that offers a low-price, three-tiered ‘hybrid’ style service is now under new ownership after the original company behind it was voluntarily wound up.

The Preston-based firm that first operated Click Estate Agents recently moved the business from a residential address to a high street location employing a branch manager and several other staff.

Click Estate Agents is continuing with its original website offering vendors a £495 unaccompanied viewings option, a full-service charging an 0.85% fee and an auction service with no upfront fees, and is now under new management.

The new owner, who did not wish to give his name, says he is now working “15 hours a day” to repay the costs of taking the business over and making it a success.

Estate agency continues

“I confirm that Click Estate Agents (NW) Ltd was placed into liquidation on 10th October 2018 and I can confirm that the company has ceased to trade,” legal firm RM Insolvency told The Negotiator. “Prior to the liquidation, the company had sold its assets to another unconnected limited company.”

Click Estate Agents (NW) Ltd had been run by several experienced local agents including one director with at least seven years’ in the industry. It had a promising start. In a 2014 they told a local newspaper how hard work and “low-cost, bespoke selling options make us the best performing estate agent in the area”.
