A hybrid estate agency with national ambitions has launched saying it will only use local property experts who live within a ten-mile radius of the area they cover and which, it claims, makes the company’s business model unique.
Spearhead is based in Brighton and says it wants vendors and landlords to be re-assured that its representatives have excellent knowledge and experience of their local area.
“The level of customer service vendors deserve is missing from other online estate agency firms and people are getting treated as a statistic rather than a human being,” says founder Amos Miller.
“This is where Spearhead comes in to its own, offering unrivalled service and unbeatable local knowledge.
“From our research, we have found that vendors are sick and tired of being over-promised and under-delivered along with hidden fees which blow their budgets out of the water. This is why our pricing structure is transparent, fair and above all honest.”
100-mile arc
The company which is initially offering its services within a 100-mile arc inland from Brighton, is charging £1,299 on a no-sale, no-fee basis. This includes accompanied viewings, photographs, floor plans and listings on Rightmove and Zoopla.
Landlords pay £500 for tis tenant find service and a £500 plus 10% commission fee for a fully managed service.
Miller has worked in Brighton’s lettings and short-let holiday markets for the past seven years and says the business has received its first valuations requests and secured its first rental listing.
“In a year’s time we want to be ready to launch ourselves as a national brand,” Miller tells The Negotiator.
