House moving platform and smartphone app Mio has signed up more than 1,000 agency branches since it launched in May last year, and currently includes over 10,000 active house moving chains and details of 175,000 properties.
The sales progression tool linking buyers, vendors and agents lets participating agents in a chain see each other’s sales progression activity, so they can solve pinch-points and keep their customers updated. The Negotiator was one of the first media organisations to report its initial trials in Cardiff 18 months ago before the official launch.
Mio integrates with some existing CRM systems and takes data feeds from conveyancers, financial advisors and surveyors to automatically populate milestones.
Managing Director Emma Vigus, who arrived from parent group the TMGroup in September last year, says, “We empower agents to quickly understand the status of each transaction in a chain by deploying updates from conveyancers, mortgage brokers and surveyors.”
“Our sales progression process is really simple to follow, and the integrated consumer app ensures that it’s easy to manage communication with buyers and sellers.”
Matt Nicol, founder of Nicol & Co Estate Agents, says it’s helped to streamline the firm’s sales process.
“We’re able to offer clients an app that provides all the required information all in one place, in real-time, to keep them informed every step of the way, and an instant messaging feature so clients can message at a time convenient to them,” says Nicol.
“This also saves us a lot of time without the need for so many calls and emails.”
Part-owned by estate agency giant Connells, Mio, which stands for ‘move it on’, was developed by software company TMGroup.
Future enhancements will focus on populating the platform with more data to reduce re-keying by agents and improving connectivity between agents, mortgage brokers and conveyancers through a shared view of the chain. Mio is free of charge until the end of 2020 for all agents.
