The relaunched easyProperty hybrid estate agency is planning to have 72 local partners in place by July next year following its acquisition from eProp Services Group, the parent company of The Guild of Property Professionals.
David Brierley has also revealed the structure of the hybrid agency’s national network of partners, which will each hold between two and three territories each with 25,000 owners-occupiers within it.
“The idea is to concentrate on local areas and grow them organically,” says Brierley.
In order to facilitate the deal, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s EasyGroup and City backer Toscafund, which has been a significant investors in easyProperty, have become shareholders in Evolve alongside its founders David and MaryAnn Brierley.
Brierley says he and his wife then bought the trading name and licence to use the Easy brand from Sir Stelios. Brierley is pictured, above, with the billionaire entrepreneur in Monaco.
“It’s a really interesting time in the estate agency world and we couldn’t be working with a better brand,” says Brierley.
Evolve and the Brierleys were revealed as the new owners of easyProperty at the end of July and at the time he told The Negotiator that the company would be moving to a more Purplebricks-like hybrid model.
Evolve, which Brierley set up in 2007, is one of the leading property marketing services in the UK.
The easyProperty deal will enable Evolve to offer its photography, floor plans, viewings, EPCs, inventories and other services to the easyProperty licensees.
