Start-up lettings platform Accommodation.co.uk has bagged two more leading industry figures both of whom until recently worked for Purplebricks
These are Michael Booth and Julie Findlater. Findlater, who was Purplebricks’ first territory holder in Scotland and who is a former Countrywide branch manager, is now the Accomodation.co.uk property manager.
Booth joined Purplebricks during it early start-up days in 2015 initially as a territory owner and LPE before rising through the ranks to become its training academy director in January last year.
He left to work as a property industry recruitment consultant in September including working for Accommodation.co.uk, before being made its Head of Recruitment.
Booth will be helping to recruit and train the platform’s Local Letting Consultants working alongside another industry player, Clive Tomlinson, who used to be Belvoir’s Business Development Manager.

Qualifications
“We are looking for people within the industry who have plenty of experience and who, preferably, have ARLA qualifications although if they don’t, they’ll have to get them within three months of joining,” he says.
“The industry has long needed change and I firmly believe that we will be the ones to do it. Well-known lettings agencies have focused too much on being online, neglecting to remember that what landlords and Generation Rent really want is efficiency, customer service and a high level of professionalism.”

Accommodation has also revealed several other hires including a product manager, Baktash Noori, and a marketing manager, Matthew Pickup, who comes from property investment firm MCR Property Group.
