A ‘no-ties’ mortgage broker hub for estate agents and developers launched today by Just Mortgages is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK.

The unique brokerage service is being trialled initially in South Wales including Cardiff (pictured) before being widened to cover initially the whole of Wales and then also England.

Four brokers will give the South Wales agents advice on mortgage, insurance and other financial product options for their customers but eventually the hub will have access to all of Just Mortgage’s army of 346 telephone-based advisors.

The hub is believed to be the first brokerage service of its kind to be offered to agents without a contract or any other obligation to use its service or recommend its products, although like other brokerage deals agents will be paid a fee for introducing new business.

“Having a broker working closely alongside developers and estate agents will enable them to move from offer to completion as quickly as possible,” says Gareth Lowndes (left), Just Mortgages’ divisional sales director in charge of the hub.

“This is a valuable new offering for agents without brokerage arrangements already in place, and we are confident that the model will be scalable to other parts of the country.”

Just Mortgages is part of the SpicerHaart group which owns the haart, Darlows, Haybrook, Felicity J Lord, Chewton Rose and Butters John Bee agency brands.

Just Mortgages’ brokers are based throughout these agent branch network.
