A former Purplebricks local property expert has claimed that Trustpilot is willing to remove reviews about individual agents from its site if requested to do so.
Camron Carter, who is based in Southampton, worked for Purplebricks for two years and eight months until March this year initially as a LPE and later a training manager>
He claims that after taking legal advice, Trustpilot has told him that former LPEs can request to have their reviews removed from its reviews website.
Carter says he has asked for 252 of his reviews to be taken down and that if all former LPEs did the same thing Purplebricks would lose up 33,000 reviews from Trust Pilot.
After making his claim within a Linkedin post, the 29-year-old attracted a deluge of online comments from former and existing Purplebricks LPEs both praising and criticising the self-style ‘experienced property and sales manager’.
While some criticised Carter for his “bitterness and spite” and that he wasn’t “doing himself any favours”, others said they understood his frustration, although others said he should be proud of his Purplebricks reviews regardless of his experiences while working for the agency.
“I am not happy for [the reviews] to help a business that has now changed and lost the heart and soul of what it once was,” says Carter.
“I’d feel terrible if a customer instructed off my reviews to receive a service sub-par. I would prefer no association with Purplebricks.”
