Bracknell’s former bus depot is to undergo a grand transformation into a 155,000 square foot development of 242 luxury apartments, following its acquisition by SevenCapital.
The Grand Exchange will offer ultra-modern, loft-style studios and apartments, across ten floors, from 450 square feet for a studio, to 1,043 square feet for the largest two-bedder.
Features include a gym and attractive, interactive communal areas, including a residents’ garden room and co-working space. It will also include a private dining room for residents to entertain guests in an attractive restaurant-style setting, as well as rent-to-use spa-quality treatment rooms.
We’ve seen the trend for city centre living surge in popularity and the trend is filtering into towns across the country.
Communal areas will be powered by solar energy, the car park will initially include two electric car charging points, with the infrastructure for 37 should the demand prove higher and 340 cycle spaces.
Andy Foote, Director at SevenCapital said, “This development is going to change the way people live in Bracknell, it’s exciting. We’ve seen the trend for city centre living surge in popularity and the trend has started to filter into towns across the country.
“The trend is evolving, as is Bracknell; people want to feel part of a community, so creating beautiful, versatile, sustainable spaces for people to live, work and thrive is important.
“The Grand Exchange has been designed to meet this demand and we’re proud that this development will make a significant contribution to the fantastic transformation that Bracknell is currently enjoying.”
Work is due to start in September.
